Travel Challenge – Day Two

Thank you to Maggie and Richard of the wonderful Monkey’s Tale adventure travel blog for nominating me for The Travel Challenge.

The challenge is to post a favourite travel picture for 10 days without explanation and nominate someone else to participate.

I’m bending the rules a little by adding an explanation, since I am a writer more than a photographer and like to know the who, what, where, why and hows. This is rafting the Zambezi in 1994, a trip that changed my life. If you want to find out how in 50 words, check out my appearance in Around The World in 16 Photos! (I’m No 4 in the article, back nearside in the photo – in ‘the ejector seat!’)

If I nominate you and you don’t want to participate, please do not feel obliged, I appreciate it’s a busy time of year. However, if you do, please link back to me so that I can see your post.

In these strange times, I think we all need a little vicarious travel and cheering up – and it’s a great excuse to delve back into your travel archives!

Drumroll… my nomination is… Journey Junkies, the Housesitting, Adventure and Travel Blog!

Want to know more about my travels, why not check out my books. They make excellent gifts!

AD (After Dogs) - We retired early to tour Europe in a caravan with four dogs. "To boldly go where no van has gone before". Since 2021, we've been at large in a 24.5-tonne self-converted ex-army truck called The Beast. BC (Before Canines) - we had adventures on every continent other than Antarctica!
