Travel Challenge – Day Three

Thank you to Maggie and Richard of the wonderful Monkey’s Tale adventure travel blog for nominating me for The Travel Challenge.

The challenge is to post a favourite travel picture for 10 days without explanation and nominate someone else to participate.

I have been bending the rules a little by adding an explanation, but this time I’m going to see if anyone can identify this majestic and rather distinctive mountain. I don’t think it’s changed much since I was there in 1997!

If I nominate you and you don’t want to participate, please do not feel obliged, I appreciate it’s a busy time of year. However, if you do, please link back to me so that I can see your post.

In these strange times, I think we all need a little vicarious travel and cheering up – and it’s a great excuse to delve back into your travel archives!

Drumroll… my nomination is… Swankie the Lovable Loser, who connects very entertaining thoughts and stories from around the globe!

Worried about Brexit? My post IMPORTANT POST BREXIT PET TRAVEL UPDATE has been updated with new information in the last few days.

  1. Good call, you’re bang on!
It is Mount Cook, otherwise known as Aoraki – ‘Cloud Piercer’ in Maori.
At 3,724 metres (12,218 feet) it is the highest mountain in New Zealand.
    Have you climbed this one?
I didn’t, I just admired its lovely fishtail peaks!
