Travel Challenge – Day Six

Thank you to Maggie and Richard of the FAB Monkey’s Tale adventure travel blog for nominating me for The Travel Challenge.

The challenge is to post a favourite travel picture for 10 days without explanation and nominate someone else to participate.

Since I’m a caravan travel blog, it would seem churlish not to include a photo of our esteemed home and mode of transport; Caravan Kismet and Big Blue. If you follow my blog you have probably seen this pic before, but I am rather proud that our rig joined the Mile High Club in Romania!

If I nominate you and you don’t want to participate, please do not feel obliged, I appreciate it’s a busy time of year. However, if you do, please link back to me so that I can see your post.

In these strange times, I think we all need a little vicarious travel and cheering up – and it’s a great excuse to delve back into your travel archives!

Drumroll… my nomination is… Back On The Road Again, a blog from an award-winning writer who is a fellow frugal traveller in a blue campervan.

If you want to know more about our travels in Romania, check out my book Dogs ‘n’ Dracula – A Road Trip Through Romania. Click Towing the Transfăgărășan – Crossing The Carpathians with a Caravan for a sample chapter and to learn more about the featured photo.

AD (After Dogs) - We retired early to tour Europe in a caravan with four dogs. "To boldly go where no van has gone before" - & believe me, we have! BC (Before Canines) - we had adventures on every continent other than Antarctica!

      1. And when Jeremy Clarkson speaks, we listen 😄 … loved Top Gear when it was presented by Jeremy, Hammond and James May … and yes, I do remember now the show that they’ve recorded in Romania and showed this very same road that you’ve travelled on – must have been awesome!

      2. I have a love hate relationship with Clarkson. He is reprehensible, but hilarious! If you know Clarkson, you will appreciate the special love he has for caravans. We towed Kismet over his favourite road in his honour!
