Travel Challenge – Day Ten

On my final day, a big thank you to Maggie and Richard of the FAB Monkey’s Tale adventure travel blog for nominating me for The Travel Challenge. It has been a pleasure seeing everyone else’s pictures and such fun going through my own archives.

The challenge is to post a favourite travel picture for 10 days without explanation and nominate someone else to participate.

I’ve been breaking the rules a bit, because I am a writer more than a photographer and like a bit of context.

For my last day, I have posted some pictures of… HOME!

While I have terminally itchy feet, it is always wonderful to see my adopted home of Bournemouth on the south coast of the UK with new eyes when I come back from my travels. As F. Scott Fitzgerald said,

It’s a funny thing coming home. Nothing changes. Everything looks the same, feels the same, even smells the same. You realise what’s changed is you.

Since it’s the last day, I’m not going to nominate anyone specifically; I will simply say that if you would like to participate, please accept my nomination! If you do decide to participate, please link back to me so that I can see your pictures.

AD (After Dogs) - We retired early to tour Europe in a caravan with four dogs. "To boldly go where no van has gone before". Since 2021, we've been at large in a 24.5-tonne self-converted ex-army truck called The Beast. BC (Before Canines) - we had adventures on every continent other than Antarctica!
