My new comic travel memoir, To Hel In A Hound Cart – Journey To The Centre Of Europe starts its blog tour tomorrow.
During the tour, a series of book bloggers will share their reviews of my latest travel memoir, which follows our adventures touring Italy, France, Germany, The Czech Republic and Poland with pups, in a pandemic.
To Hel In A Hound Cart – Journey To The Centre Of Europe has already received multiple 5* reviews on Amazon worldwide.

Here are a few examples from Amazon.co.uk:
- A Witty, easy and engaging read: This is a sparkling romp across Europe, full of fascinating facts, hair-raising adventures, and sharp witty stories. And four adorable pups! Alyson Sheldrake, Artist and Author
- Honest and funny account of touring with four fur babies and a husband!: Once again Jackie delivers a delightfully entertaining digest of her travels from Italy to Poland and home again. Living the dream, although a few nightmarish moments creep in. Jackie doesn’t shy away from telling the warts and all story, but on the whole it is a cheerful recap of her and her husband’s adventures with the pawsome foursome. Wendy C.
- Entertaining and beautifully written: I love the author’s wonderfully descriptive writing, so engaging I didn’t want to stop reading. I particularly enjoy all the historical detail whch sends me off to read more of the places she has visited. Best of all I love her irrepressible sense of fun and witty asides which are often side splittingly funny. Rebecca H.
Here’s the timetable. Visit each blogger’s site on the day to see what they have to say. I hope they liked it – I will be holding my breath….

If you would like to find my other books, they are all available as ebooks or paperbacks on Amazon. Click the links below to find them.
Although they are part of a series, following what happened since we gave up work to travel full time, each book is a stand-alone tale.

Looks like fun – good luck with your tour!

Thank you!
It’s always a little nerve racking since there’s no guarrantee that they will like the book, so you never quite know what kind of a review they will give. 🙂

Looks like I’d better read your tales. I’m Interrailing solo with my pooch for 3 months. I keep thinking “this would be so much easier in a van”. Maybe I’m wrong! Sounds like a good read whatever.
