A Preview of The Beast: Our New Expedition Truck!

You might notice that I have been rather quiet of late and this is the reason. We have sold our main residence and packed up our life once again to hit the road in The Beast, our newly converted expedition truck.

Due to Covid travel restrictions, our destination currently looks more Manchester than Mongolia, but as soon as we can safely depart the UK, we shall do so!

Who’s watching? We were overflown several times by this C17 Globemaster…

I do intend to round off last year’s epic road trip through Poland in a Pandemic before blogging about our latest adventures, but in the meantime, I thought you might enjoy a look around our new home.

It was such a pleasure to meet Wildkatt on the Road, who interviewed us and filmed The Beast for her vlog. Between us, Katt and our neighbours Linda and Bobby, we were road tripping with five dogs, four cats and two mice!

Please feel free to share – and please subscribe to Katt’s YouTube channel, which will feature other wonderful interviews and vlogs as she undertakes a month-long road trip around Scotland with her four beautiful cats!

AD (After Dogs) - We retired early to tour Europe in a caravan with four dogs. "To boldly go where no van has gone before". Since 2021, we've been at large in a 24.5-tonne self-converted ex-army truck called The Beast. BC (Before Canines) - we had adventures on every continent other than Antarctica!

  1. Wow, that is awesome. The fab four even intrigued Cassie who was listening while I watched the video. It all looks amazing, what adventures you will have. Looking forward to reading about it.

  3. I did not know that Neal was an outback trucker! We really should try to cross paths. We’re heading north again the week after next to sort our our tyre debacle in Bedford 🙂
It seems no-one in the UK can change a tyre on a Trilex wheel rim.

  4. Lovely to meet you and ‘the Beast’ yesterday, you made a little lad very happy letting us have a look round and take a few pics. He’d spied you a few days ago and thought i’d lost my marbles pulling in for a closer look and a chat! We look forward to seeing your adventures and watch with envy until our own ‘Manfred’ truck is fully converted.
