Peter Barber is one of my favourite travel humour authors. Among other things, he writes highly entertaining tales about his life in Greece.
He features interviews with fellow authors, most of whom are based in Greece, or write about Greece. I was honoured when he asked me to feature on his website!
Although I am not based in Greece, the interview looks at how Greece inspired me, as well as some musings on writing, my previous day job, and how I have spent my life following the road most interesting…

I enjoy Peter’s writing. I have yet to dip into his Parthenon series:
- A Parthenon on our Roof: Adventures of an Anglo-Greek Marriage – Join Peter and his fiery Greek wife, Alex, on a journey through the chaos, charm, and quirks of life in Greece, from the baffling world of Greek bureaucracy to embracing the joyous madness of family gatherings..
- A Parthenon in Pefki: Further Adventures of an Anglo-Greek Marriage – What happens when a strait-laced Englishman and his fiery Greek wife trade life in Athens for a quiet fishing village on a Greek island? Absolute mayhem—and plenty of laughs!
- The Parthenon Paradox: Rivers of Redemption – Caught in a whirlwind of legal battles, village gossip, and cultural clashes, Peter and Alex must navigate the absurdities of Greek bureaucracy, rebuild their lives, and face the ultimate question: will they seek revenge or choose forgiveness?
I recently read his Musings from a Pandemic, which I found to be a ‘Laugh-out-loud journey through unprecedented times’. You can read my full review of Peter’s book on Amazon here. Peter has also published Musings from a Greek Village. Read on and smile at a year of observations and philosophy from a Greek village.

I always say that the secret of a good interview is a good interviewer! Great questions make or break an interview.
Thank you so much for reading and commenting, and for your kind wishes, Nancy.
