The first of the month is always made fabulous by author and artist Alyson Shekdrake’s Snapshot! online newsletter/magazine landing in my inbox.
This month, besides an interview with critically acclaimed international bestselling author Kathryn Gauchi, photos and summer photography tips from professional photographer, Dave Sheldrake, art, book recommendations, recipes and more, The Fab Four are thrilled have been allowed to have their say.
They feature in the section called Kat’s Kuestions, where Kat the Dog, star of the award-winning book by the same name, interviews her canine compatriots.

If you want to know what goes on in their minds, their favourite games, their greatest piece of mischief, the piece of advice they would give to the world – as well as lots of lovely doggie photos, check out the links below.

Alyson’s Latest Book!
Kat the Dog – The Remarkable Tale of a Rescued Spanish Water Dog
A Heartbreaking & Happy Tail of How Chance can Change a Life – I blubbed my way through the first part of this book, which is a very powerful account of the awful treatment some poor pooches endure in Spain. However, the wonderful and committed people who step in to change their lot definitely brings the sun out again – and it is no spoiler to say that in spite of everything, there is a happy ending for everyone! It is a very hopeful and lovely story of how chance can conspire to change a life.

I absolutely love the advice – to be more Rosie! She is so full of life and fun, it is a great piece of advice. But I can’t believe that sweet little Lani is the mischief muppet that is implied in the article. All 4 of them are gorgeous, I’m very happy to have met them all!

Thank you!
That Lani Lulu was busy digging in a field yesterday and wouldn’t come back when I called her. In fact, she turned her back and went further away.
“Don’t make me come over there…” did the trick.
The trouble with dogs is that when they come back, however reclacitrant they’ve been, you have to praise them for doing what you asked. I think Lani knows this and enjoys making me praise her because even though she was really naughty, she did what I asked. Eventually!

It is such a great newsletter, isn’t it?
I always make sure I have a coffee and enough free time to do it justice!

Same here but without the coffee. I block off a good hour before bed time, when it’s a quiet night without diary or email catch-ups, Spanish lessons, social media, or blog reading. Usually, this time doesn’t happen until midway in the month or even later, though. 😦
