WorldWideWalkies Wishes You A Pawsome Christmas!

Thank you to all of you for reading and following our adventures throughout 2022, and for all your lovely comments and feedback.

World Wide Walkies will be taking a blogging break until early January.

I am sure that you will have more important things to do over the Festive Period than wonder about what happens next in our Never Mind The Balkans Tour, but rest assured that we will resume the tale our tour in Albania in the New Year!

Rosie and The Beast in the snow in Italy

2022 has been a busy year, during which we have been fortunate to visit nine countries. If you have missed any Never Mind The Balkans posts, you can catch up here.

I have launched two books this year, since family illness delayed our travels and, ironically, the launch of a book called It Never Rains But It Paws scheduled for last Christmas. My Adventure Caravanning With Dogs series is now complete, and our Trucking Adventures in The Beast are well and truly under way!

The other big book news this year is that Book 3, Dogs n Dracula won a Chill With A Book Premier Readers’ Award and within a week of its launch on December 9th, To Hel In A Hound Cart was #1 Hot New Release in several categories on Amazon.com, including Travel With Pets, Auto & RV Travel, Eastern Europe Travel, Travel Writing and Adventure Travel.

Writing, publishing, and book marketing continues to be an uphill slog, although in publishing terms, I am a runaway success, since I have covered my costs! A great bonus has been the many wonderful people I have met on my journey into blogging and publishing.

It’s now 5 years since I started my blog. I have conributed guest posts to Learning With Dogs and this year, I became a regular contributor to Marcia Meara’s The Write Stuff blog. Check out my previous #WritersTravelogueSeries posts – and look out for more in 2023.

My books, blog, and our truck, The Beast, have been featured in media all over the world, from a Pet Friendly travel blog in Australia to the Post Industrial magazine in Pittburgh, USA. You can see all my interviews and guest articles here.

My travel story, Welcome to Kosovo, has also been published in Robert Fear’s anthology 50 Intriguing Personal Insights. For other anthologies which include my work, check out my anthologies page.

I have taken part in several podcasts and author interviews, which will air in early 2023. Watch this space!

I am delighted to say that Mark, The Fab Four and I have ended another year all happy and healthy. We’re looking forward to more adventures in 2023, after catching up with friends and relatives in the UK in the new year.

What are you looking forward to in 2023? Please share in the comments.

In the meantime, have a happy and peaceful Christmas, and we hope Santa Paws brings your heart’s desire!

From us all at World Wide Walkies, we hope that you have a Pawfect Christmas & that in 2023, all your dreams & wishes come true!

AD (After Dogs) - We retired early to tour Europe in a caravan with four dogs. "To boldly go where no van has gone before". Since 2021, we've been at large in a 24.5-tonne self-converted ex-army truck called The Beast. BC (Before Canines) - we had adventures on every continent other than Antarctica!
